Looking for something simple to get you moving during the week? With the holidays right around the corner and all the food that entails, it’s important to me that I stay active.
I haven’t been to the gym in months. With grad school and this blog taking up the majority of my time, I’ve really been having a hard time scheduling it. I’m not letting that stop me, though! I’ve been getting in short, effective home workouts as often as possible because that physical exertion is important to both my health and my mental wellbeing!
Since the weather has gotten so dang perfect here in Arizona, I’ve been getting out to hike as often as possible, too! Have you seen some of my adventures on Instagram? I’m lucky to live in a state that has so much topical diversity right here in the city (Camelback Mountain is right in the middle of Phoenix!).
If you’re trying to get back into working out, or if you’re looking for something quick and effective, here is a circuit I’ve been doing several times per week!
•20 jumping lunges (each leg)
•20 sumo squats
•15 side lunges (each leg)
•30 hip bridges
•30 crunches
•30 russian twists
•10 pushups
•30 sec plank
Stretch beforehand, knock these exercises out, then get on with your day! It takes me less than 30 minutes to get this done and I feel motivated and fresh and ready to go afterwards!
If you’re unsure what some of these exercises look like, Google is your best friend.
