It was coming upon Valentine’s Day and I really had no idea what to do for Brian. We’re not the types to buy each other elaborate gifts for such a silly holiday, but we do like to do something fun like dinner and a movie.
Brian saved the day by suggesting we head out to San Diego for the weekend. He booked a hotel right on the beach last minute. Um, I’ll take ‘Guy Who Totally Gets Me’ for $600, Mr. Trebek.
Give me salt in the air, sun on my face and the waves crashing their melodies in my ears and I am at peace.
Oh, heyyy, GO LONGHORNS!
One thing I love about visiting the beach is all the people who simply pause to watch the ocean from time to time.
There’s a complete and gorgeous zen in sending all your thoughts into the ocean. Suddenly, everything seems so small.
Look! I actually got a picture with Mr. Behind The Scenes!
The Pacific is truly a masterpiece of our Creator. We are all a little more creative, a little more kind and a little bit more at peace when gazing upon the dwarfing majesty of the ocean.
Peace, friends.
