Super Foods Smoothie

Good morning! I’m popping in here quickly to share with you one of my favorite smoothie recipes. We make this almost every day for a post gym shake. It’s tasty and packed full of seriously good stuff to prepare you for whatever your day can send your way. Let’s have a look at all the goodness inside:

Papaya- Boosts immunity,  specific enzymes help with digestion and stomach issues
Blueberries- Packed with antioxidants, potassium and Vitamin C.
Almonds- Lots of fiber, high-quality protein and unsaturated fatty acids.
Flaxseeds- Packed with Omega 3, they’ve also been shown to help reduce cholesterol levels and lower blood pressure
Apple Cider Vinegar- Relieves acid reflux symptoms, improves skin health, lowers cholesterol and enhances weight loss
Spinach- Calcium, Vitamin K, Magnesium and Vitamin C

Super Foods Smoothie

1 c. cashew or almond milk

1 scoop protein powder

1/2 banana

1/2 c. papaya

1/4 c. blueberries

5 raw almonds

1 T. flaxseeds

2 T. greek yogurt

2 c. spinach

1 T. apple cider vinegar

Blend with a few ice cubes and enjoy!

Your papaya will be ripe when it turns yellow and has an almost bruised look to it. Cut the skin off and scoop out the seeds, then slice it up and freeze left overs for easy smoothie making in the future!
